Iraq notes that the estimated costs of the shoreline preserve were based on the original estimate for a combined shoreline preserve and marine reserve that was also intended to replace lost recreational opportunities.

178. As regards the reimbursement of boarding costs, it was pointed out that at designated duty stations, where educational facilities were either not available or deemed to be inadequate, boarding costs were reimbursed over and above the applicable education grant limit.

The new facilities could be used for training, short term staff accommodation, strategic deployment stocks storage and other purposes.
