32. Resolution 50 120, paragraph 39 addresses the role of the resident coordinator in facilitating a coherent and coordinated follow up to major international conferences, in full consultation with national Governments.

It was to be hoped that all the members of the Committee would continue to contribute to its work as long as the principle of consensus was maintained.

Those general consultations will be followed by thematic consultations to be held by the 10 facilitators on the four main clusters of issues contained in the report.
