It is carried out in grammar schools, art schools, vocational schools, military and religious schools.

In some of them the curricula consists of special educational programmes in others it follows the regular general education plans and programmes.

Special general education schools, boarding schools, and special classes are being created for children and teenagers who have physical and mental disabilities and who cannot attend conventional general education schools.

School health education

As a rule, German is the language of instruction at schools offering general education, at vocational schools and at universities.

The State is improving education processes both in general education institutions and in secondary vocational and higher learning institutions.

General secondary education In accordance with the Law On General Education of 10 June 1999, there are the following establishments of general secondary education depending on the structure of the education establishment and the organisation of the study process secondary schools, shift schools, colleges.

The primary education being provided may be full time, parallel, or schools for children who are developmentally impaired.

There is also a large system of informal education in form of girls being taught at home by their elders and in mosque schools and seminaries.

119. Elementary and preparatory schooling.

The scholastic standards are high.

The curriculum for the compulsory school is the responsibility of the Ministry of Education, Science and Culture.

In religious schools, which last four or five years, students receive secondary education for their work or continued education.

In the academic year 2003 2004 there were 627 full time educational institutions providing general education, 38 educational institutions providing evening courses or distance learning, and 71 educational institutions providing vocational, higher vocational or specialised secondary education.

344. In 1993 94 the number of schools offering compulsory education amounted to 2,101 gymnasia, and HF courses amounted to 153 schools in 1992 93.

Beginning vocational education is made available to citizens in keeping with their interests, wishes and capabilities on the basis of basic and general secondary education provided in vocational lycées, vocational schools, special vocational schools and training complexes, centres and other educational institutions equivalent to them.

The children also lost two years of school education.

One way is to transform basic education schools into first grade complete ones from 1st to 7th grade.

343. Private schools catering for children of compulsory school age may offer the entire form range of the Folkeskole, i.e. the first to ninth tenth year, thus both primary and lower secondary education.

In Germany the share of private schools of schools offering general education amounted to 4.7 per cent (2,036 schools), and their share of vocational schools to 13.5 per cent (1,228 schools) in 1994.

In total about 39 per cent of a year group will leave youth education with vocational qualifications and 38 per cent with general qualification for entry into higher education.

In secondary vocational institutions (training schools, technical schools and colleges, and other educational institutions equivalent to them), citizens may obtain a specialty on the basis of general basic, general secondary and beginning vocational education.

This conditioning took place in particular in the family and, above all, in the schools.

The provincial education departments are responsible for primary, secondary and higher secondary schools in the respective provinces.

12. In educational terms, instruction in minority schools is designed both as bilingual and monolingual instruction.

The number of special education schools for children who cannot be integrated has increased from 30 to 185 in about 10 years.

Private schools also generally have coeducation.

The Ministry of Education should ensure that schools include accurate and objective sexual education in their curricula.

287. During the 1993 94 school year those continuing their second level of education (secondary education, grades IX through XI XII) numbered 363,138 (25.8 per cent of those studying at all levels) 6,611 of them attended evening and extramural schools.

General education schools in rural areas

In recent years, a number of colleges have been opened (private primary and secondary schools) that charge a full price for education costs.

Information has been disseminated through schools, universities, out of school programs and forums for peer education and education for parents.

In 2000, 79 schools offered this type of quality education.
