In terms of age, the highest level of women's participation in the labour force is found in the 20 49 age group between 1995 and 2000 the rate of participation in this group rose from 43.4 to 45.8 .

61. In view of the current age and gender distribution of the staff population, more men than women will be reaching retirement age in 1998 and the years ahead.
