The Forum has met on a regular basis to discuss and evaluate the policies for women developed by the government.

9.36 By its resolution 2000 35 of 18 October 2000, the Economic and Social Council established the United Nations Forum on Forests as an intergovernmental subsidiary body of the Economic and Social Council, to serve as a permanent policy and political forum, with the main objective of promoting the management, conservation and sustainable development of all types of forests and to strengthen long term political commitment to that end.

If we talk about the equal rights of nations in political forums, we must talk of the same concept in this forum as well.

The Fourth Session of the Intergovernmental Forum on Chemical Safety (Forum IV) considered the issue of the widening gap between developed countries and developing countries in their ability to pursue chemical safety policies.

The Forum invites the agencies and Governments submitting contributions also to indicate in future the challenges that they face in the implementation of the Forum's recommendations.

Forums were organized by NGOs on a non discriminatory basis at which the details of the labour market and free services were provided.

It had cooperated with the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, taking part in its annual meetings and hosting panels during those meetings.

The Council also decided that the international arrangement on forests should facilitate and promote the implementation of the proposals for action put forward by the Intergovernmental Panel on Forests (IPF) Intergovernmental Forum on Forests (IFF), that the arrangement would be reviewed after five years and that the review would also address the institutional framework of the Forum, including its position within the United Nations system.

A total of 40 Municipal Governments and 7 State Governments took part in this Forum through administrators designated by the mayors or governors.

Those intergovernmental forums have served as a stimulus for work in the field of criminal justice and the interest generated by them over the years has increased considerably.
