At 10 am, August 12, Miyun District issued a rainstorm red warning signal and a geological disaster orange warning signal. And the rainstorm red warning signal was lifted at 2 30 pm.

Planned cash expenditure for 2005 in the regular programme was 386 million, against an expected cash income of 359 million.

As at the end of June 1998, cash expenditure in the regular programme in 1998 was expected to be 253 million, compared with expected cash income in 1998 of some 252 million.

26. As concerns the combined cash position, it is now projected that the end of 1998 will see a further increase in the percentage of peacekeeping cash that must be cross borrowed by the regular budget to offset the cash deficit in that account.

At 30 June 1998, expected 1998 cash expenditure in the regular programme was 253 million, as compared to expected 1998 cash income of 252 million.

Regular budget cash flow projection

The current concept distinguishes between the following components of the biennial budget the Fund budget, including headquarters, field operations and project activities and the programme support cost budget, including headquarters and field operations.

Hospitalization accounted for 18 per cent of cash allocations for the health programme in 1996, the second largest component of the health budget after staff costs.

Full segregation on a) cash management analysis and b) subsequent investment decision making process has been implemented through providing detailed written substantiation on cash flow positions available, including projections and determining funds available for investment.

The cash budget for 1998 1999 amounted to some 636.2 million.

There was virtually zero growth in the cash portion of the regular budget between 1997 and 1998.

Twenty five per cent of peacekeeping cash will need to be cross borrowed to cover the deficit in regular budget cash, the largest percentage in four years.

The Agency ended the year 2004 with a deficit of 8.7 million on the original budget, but the difference between the actual cash income of 322.3 million and the actual cash expenditure of 308.3 million resulted in a surplus of 14 million in the cash portion of the regular budget.

23. As regards the regular budget component of combined cash, that amount at the end of 1998 is once more projected to be in a deficit position of 184 million.

The red is modern conflict, conflicts within states.

Income from outstanding assessed contributions and cash balances foreseen for December 1997 and early 1998 are not expected to be sufficient to finance the staff separation programme.

The budget text clarifies which programme activities fall under the General Fund, and which fall under the project budget component.

A significant portion of peacekeeping cash may need to be used, or cross borrowed, by year end to offset the regular budget cash deficit.

The recosting adjustments for the Fund budget and the programme support cost budget were separately reflected under each of the budgets.

This projection reflects a projected negative cash position of 247 million for the regular budget and positive balances of 775 million for peacekeeping.

This funding level of the annual programme budget represents 97 per cent and 94 per cent in 2004 and 2003 respectively.

Modern Red

It is further divided into cash and in kind portions. The cash budget is funded through cash contributions recorded as income to the General Fund (GF).
