After World War II the wording of the article for the revival of bilateral treaties was changed so as to include either the phrase keep in force or revive' or the phrase continue in force or revive' rather than just revive' as was the case in the peace treaties after World War I.

3. A declaration takes effect simultaneously with the entry into force of this Convention in respect of the State concerned. However, a declaration of which the depositary receives formal notification after such entry into force takes effect on the first day of the month following the expiration of six months after the date of its receipt by the depositary.

After its acceptance by the Meeting of the Parties, a notification by a signatory shall enter into force on the date of entry into force of this Protocol for that State, and a notification by a Party to this Protocol shall enter into force on the ninetieth day after the acceptance of such notification.

2. If a State becomes a party to this Convention after its entry into force, the obligations of that State vis à vis the Committee shall relate only to enforced disappearances which commenced after the entry into force of this Convention for the State concerned.

It went into force on 12 January 2005, the date of its promulgation.

The Convention will enter into force when it has been ratified by 30 countries.

Full system cut over was to take place within 52 weeks of the date of entry into force of the contract and final acceptance within 90 days thereafter.

This occurs when there are 20 States parties.

This was the case with the entry into force of the American Convention on Human Rights.

3. After its entry into force, this Convention will be open for accession by all States.

The Treaty is subject to ratification and shall enter into force upon the exchange of the instruments of ratification.

Such annex will be brought into effect by an amendment of the Rome Stat by review conference 7 years after the statute comes into force.

This took into account the fact that the conditions for the definitive entry into force of the Agreement had not been met.

A MOTAPM emplaced in a perimeter marked area is excluded from the detectability requirement of this chapter.
