Dissemination of research results

The UNU IAS working paper series presents the preliminary findings of the Institute s ongoing research that being done by both senior researchers and Ph.D. fellows.

This is my latest invention.

The research employs a multi centred coordination approach, where research results are exchanged freely among network members.

This book is a result of his enthusiastic research.

Some of the work you saw today was performed by over 700 researchers at our institute across a 20 year time span.

The final manuscript for the research findings is expected to be completed in early 1996.

Well that's been studied too, by the Institute of Medicine and others. Turns out that's not the case.

2. Recognizes the importance and high quality of the work of the Institute

The secretariat indicated that a study funded by the Swiss Government had been carried out, and that the results would be communicated to the member States.

And it's within these tribes that all of our work gets done.

The manuscript containing the research findings was expected by the end of the year.

101. The research results of this project will be published in 1998.

Rudy, that book is a research study, not an autobiography.

Dissemination of research results to scholars and experts studying similar problems is important because it helps to corroborate findings, evoke critical comments or indicate possible new directions of research.

It also participated in an African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) workshop to review results of research work undertaken and to set up future priorities for research on issues of concern to African countries.

If such a study had been undertaken, how had its finding been utilized?

This section draws heavily on the findings of UNCTAD (2004).

Through the project, significant progress has been made in the integration of women into the workforce.

Called UNIDIR Briefs, each contains a summary of the main findings of the research publication and, where appropriate, policy recommendations.

This chart is comprised of four completely independent studies.

And I'm going to share one of these studies with you today.

This was done by Teruo Okano at Tokyo Women's Hospital.

The study showed that food companies exaggerated typically seven times more than an independent study.

Consequently, the Chairman of the Institute's Governing Board made an appeal to member States to honour their obligations.

The study was completed in April 1998 and a summary of its findings is presented below.

The researchers working on the project are preparing their results for a meeting to be held in mid 1998 the findings will be published at a later date.

167. UNU INTECH has disseminated its research output through workshops, seminars and lecture series, and through the circulation of its publications.

This progress report expands on the findings of the preliminary study.

The fellows each gave brief presentations of their research results and were presented with a UNU certificate confirming the completion of their training.
