Three members from international organizations  the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) also participated in the meeting.

This will involve the preparation of a methodology for an integrated planning system with elements of programme planning, human resources planning, organizational and financial planning and the building of an operational planning model.

The agencies involved include WFP, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the United Nations Centre for Human Settlements (Habitat), as well as some non governmental organizations.

They are the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (World Bank).

Some organizations, including the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), have reoriented their planning processes by redirecting the allocation of resources to ensure that their activities are aligned with the parameters set by the Hyogo Framework.

NGOs which meet certain criteria are recommended by the Working Group to the Policy and Planning Committee for approval.

V. Strategic Communications Planning Group

Entities such as the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV AIDS (UNAIDS), UNFPA and WFP assisted countries in developing gender sensitive policies and action plans, including on population and development, agriculture and rural development planning and food security.

The secretariat of the Convention is provided jointly by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

The transferring of the Committee s secretariat to Europe facilitated its cooperation with relevant international organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).
