Information on the non recurrent and recurrent costs in respect of the demining requirements is contained in columns 4 and 5, respectively.

The proposed budget consists of 1,748,700 in non recurrent costs for replacing worn damaged equipment and 63,304,500 gross ( 59,223,300 net) in recurrent costs.

B. Additional requirements for non recurrent costs

The total provision under this budget line is a recurring cost.

Non recurrent costs amount to 10,735,300, while recurrent costs amount to 125,984,200 gross ( 121,970,700 net).

These mission specific costs and ratios are presented in detail in annex II.A. A monthly breakdown of the recurrent requirements is outlined in annex II.B, while non recurrent requirements are set out in annex II.C. Supplementary information on the cost estimates is provided in annex II.D.

20. A breakdown of the proposed budget by non recurrent and recurrent costs is shown in columns 3 and 4, respectively, of annex I. Non recurrent costs amount to 2,356,800 gross and net, while recurrent costs amount to 48,254,500 gross ( 46,188,800 net).

Requirements beyond 13 January 1999 consist of only recurrent cost items.

The proposed budget consists of non recurrent costs of 1,186,200 and recurrent costs of 139,639,200 gross ( 135,194,700 net).

In reviewing the budget proposal, the working group noted that it was difficult to evaluate the budget increases in certain budget lines as there was no indication of whether the increases or decreases related to non recurrent costs or recurrent costs.
