Furthermore, I am confident that the Committee will also be receiving full support from the Department for Disarmament Affairs and the Department for General Assembly and Conference Management, headed by Mr. Nobuyasu Abe and Mr. Chen Jian, respectively.

Today, I would first like to express my thanks to all the members of the Secretariat, not least Under Secretary General Jian Chen and all the dedicated and hard working staff in the Department for General Assembly and Conference Management.

I should like also to express my appreciation to the Under Secretary General for Disarmament Affairs, Mr. Nobuyasu Abe, and Mr. Jian Chen, the Under Secretary General for General Assembly and Conference Management, for the leadership they provided the Secretariat staff assisting the Committee and for their valuable contribution.

Mr. Guan Jian (China) welcomed the progress made on the drafting of the protocol to the Convention on the Safety of United Nations and Associated Personnel and said that, in the context of the sixtieth anniversary of the Organization, all Member States agreed on the need to enhance its role.

So the traditions also insisted and this is an important point, I think that you could not and must not confine your compassion to your own group your own nation, your own co religionists, your own fellow countrymen. You must have what one of the Chinese sages called jian ai concern for everybody. Love your enemies. Honor the stranger.

Gao Jian said that the professional team made up of industry technical experts and the quality certification organization commended the Group s performance in terms of quality excellence, proprietary innovation and other core aspects, and unanimously believed that the Group had achieved the standards in all respects. If Wonly s product were to pass the subsequent inspection, it will become one of the first enterprises to have achieved and passed these standards.
