It was no longer true to its heritage no longer true to Walt Disney.

I was also inspired by Walt Whitman, who wanted to absorb America and have it absorb him.

And oddly, the most notable letter of rejection I ever received came from Walt Disney World, a seemingly innocuous site.

And the fact that we knew the people we had to take a page out of the history of Walt Disney we actually went so far as to build CRTs in the shapes of the people's faces.

For example, Steve Walt and John Mearsheimer, in their notorious essay The Israel Lobby, asserted that AIPAC manufactured the Iraq War. But the reality is far less sinister in that case, AIPAC merely surfed on the pro invasion wave unleashed by President George W. Bush, with his Messianic urges, and Vice President Dick Cheney, a one man war lobby.

Indeed, Israel s critics were already arguing that this was another case of the tail wagging the dog that Israel and its American lobby were trying to push the US into serving Israel s interests rather than its own. The most egregious examples of this view were statements made by the political scientists John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt.

But corporations build fortunes on copyright, and repeatedly pushed Congress to extend it, to the point that in the US it now lasts for 70 years after the creator s death. (The 1998 legislation responsible for the last extension was nicknamed the Mickey Mouse Protection Act because it allowed the Walt Disney Company to retain copyright of its famous cartoon character.)
