I am confident that he will ably lead our deliberations on this important agenda item.

The Court has also ably dealt with extremely intricate issues concerning the admissibility of cases in the context of its own jurisdiction.

May I also express our deep appreciation to Mr. Jean Ping for so ably guiding the work of the General Assembly during its fifty ninth session.

There are plenty of great potential non American candidates. South African Finance Minister Trevor Manuel has ably served as head of the World Bank s oversight committee and would make a brilliant World Bank president.

Since that time, the issues of sex disaggregated statistics and gender indicators have been comprehensively and ably addressed by the Statistics Division, all five of the regional economic commissions and a number of other United Nations entities.

I take this opportunity to express my delegation's appreciation for the efforts of the President of the General Assembly at its fifty ninth session, Mr. Jean Ping, who so ably guided the activities of the Working Group.

We wish also to recognize the work done by his predecessor, Mr. Jean Ping, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Gabon, who ably steered the last session so as to set the stage for change in the year 2005.

On behalf of the Council, I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to all the members of the Security Council mission, which was very ably led by Ambassador Sardenberg, for the manner in which they carried out their important responsibility on behalf of the Council.

On the basis of all that, we have participated actively in the follow up to Monterrey, in the Rome and Paris High level Forums, and in the work that has been carried out most ably by the Development Assistance Committee of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development.
