Local radio stations have shown great interest in collaborating with UNOCI FM and broadcasting its programmes and airing their productions on UNOCI FM.

UNOCI FM radio can currently be heard in Abidjan, Bouaké, Daloa and Korhogo.

According to the Federal Communications Commission, there are currently 11 FM and 2 AM radio channels, 3 local television channels and 1 cable television service provider.37

Radio Pakistan (3 months) and FM 100 (2 and half months) aired spots, skits and jingles on human rights issues.

In addition, the receivers would be equipped for standard AM, FM and short wave broadcasts.

The European Union condemns the seizure at gunpoint of radio equipment from the Kantipur FM station in Kathmandu by the security forces.

The UNOCI FM radio station, based in Abidjan, also started broadcasting in Bouaké in December 2004 and in Daloa in January 2005.

Accordingly, we condemn the seizure of radio equipment on 27 November 2005 from the Sagamartha FM station in Kathmandu by the security forces.

It broadcasts daily several news reports, sensitization and civic education programmes, debates, skits and round table discussions, through its network of national and 10 regional FM stations, 11 FM transmitters, five community radio partners, and by short wave transmissions.
