How do you provide medically relevant information at as close as possible to zero cost? How do you do it?

Imagine what happens when the cost of getting information from anywhere to anywhere is close to zero.

Fresh water freezes at zero.

So, the program that we're involved in is something which we call Diagnostics for All, or zero cost diagnostics.

Traditional lab tests for disease diagnosis can be too expensive and cumbersome for the regions most in need. George Whitesides' ingenious answer, at TEDxBoston, is a foolproof tool that can be manufactured at virtually zero cost.

And of course, at Ground Zero what else?

The elements are indexed by integers starting at zero.

The vast majority of the cost comes at the start, in the design of hardware (like sensors) and, more important, in creating the software that produces the capability to carry out various tasks. Once this is achieved, the marginal cost of the hardware is relatively low (and declines as scale rises), and the marginal cost of replicating the software is essentially zero.
