There are regulations governing the collection and disposal of infectious wastes.

1. Collection, control, disposal and destruction of arms, especially small arms and light weapons

Most city governments have to face mounting problems of collection and disposal of wastes.

That should include specific measures for the collection and disposal of illicit and surplus arms.

Such franchises may cover local sanitation network extension, sludge removal and disposal, sewage collection and treatment and other service delivery.

In many countries, the collection and disposal of solid wastes is being undertaken by firms or community based organizations.

Effective DDR programmes should include specific measures for the collection and disposal of illicit and surplus small arms and light weapons.

These provisions touched upon political, security, economic and social factors, including the collection and disposal of weapons and attention to the specific needs of women and children and the receiving communities.

The Agency conducted a detailed feasibility study of mechanization of garbage collection and disposal in refugee camps in Jordan, on which basis a project proposal was being prepared.

(b) Effective disarmament, demobilization and reintegration programmes, including specific measures for the collection and disposal of illicit and surplus small arms and light weapons and for a regional approach in their implementation.

It agrees also that specific measures are needed for the collection and disposal of illicit or surplus small arms and light weapons in the context of the mandates of peacekeeping operations.

Over 1.1 million Palestine refugees residing in the 59 official refugee camps benefited from environmental health services provided by UNRWA in cooperation with local municipalities, including sewage disposal, management of storm water run off, provision of safe drinking water, collection and disposal of refuse, and control of insect and rodent infestation.

An alternative to entry and ocean disposal is relocation to a disposal orbit.

B. Removal and disposal

In Lebanon, the Agency maintained its environmental health services in refugee camps throughout its areas of operation, introducing and or improving sewage disposal, storm water drainage, provision of safe drinking water and refuse collection.

37. It was suggested by several delegations that guidelines be developed for the collection and disposal of small arms and light weapons in the wake of conflict where a United Nations peacekeeping operation was deployed.

54. The Department for Disarmament Affairs also plays a critical role in post conflict peace building, notably in the collection, disposal and destruction of weapons and in the reintegration of former combatants into civil society.

Provision under this heading is based on the estimated monthly cost of 24,200 and covers catering services, garbage collection and removal, liquid waste disposal, cleaning of premises, rodent and pest control, anti termite treatment, mosquito eradication and grounds maintenance.

In addition, Habitat is repairing the Herat city drainage system, and is working with communities to build latrines and solid waste bins and organizing the collection and disposal of solid waste, as well as improving access and modifying water supply systems.

The Agency continued to play an active role in the planning and implementation of large scale projects for the construction of sewerage, drainage and water networks in camps and the upgrading of solid waste collection and disposal facilities through mechanization.

And sometimes they have natural trash disposal.

16. An early and accurate baseline inventory and periodic reassessment of the arms in the possession of the parties to the agreement, in accordance with the peace accord, is a prerequisite to an efficient arms collection, control, disposal and destruction process.

28. An alternative to natural atmospheric re entry and controlled disposal over the ocean is relocation to a disposal orbit.

The Agency continued to play an active role, particularly in the Gaza Strip, in the planning and implementation of large scale projects for the installation of sewerage, drainage and water networks in camps and the expansion of solid waste collection and disposal capacity.
