1.3 UNRWA reports directly to the General Assembly to which the Commissioner General submits an annual report.

General activities for the promotion of human rights undertaken by the High Commissioner are mentioned in the report of the High Commissioner to the General Assembly at its fifty third session.4

In that respect Canada welcomed the reform measures taken by the Commissioner General.
