Termination of conciliation proceedings

The conciliation proceedings are terminated

4. A conciliation is international if

(a) An invitation by a party to engage in conciliation proceedings or the fact that a party was willing to participate in conciliation proceedings

ESTABLISHMENT AND FUNCTIONS OF THE AD HOC CONCILIATION COMMISSION UNDER ARTICLES 12 AND 13 OF THE CONVENTION

According to the United Nations Conciliation Commission of Palestine, Palestinian refugees owned 5.5 million dunums of land.

In practice, the Chancellor of Justice has not yet commenced a conciliation procedure concerning discrimination based on sex.

A party to the conciliation proceedings, the conciliator and any third person, including those involved in the administration of the conciliation proceedings, shall not in arbitral, judicial or similar proceedings rely on, introduce as evidence or give testimony or evidence regarding any of the following

It was keenly aware of the work of the Working Groups on Arbitration and Conciliation, Transport Law and Procurement.

It should be stressed, though, that in order to conduct conciliation procedure both parties have to agree to take part in it. Since the conciliation procedure is not mandatory, the party against whom the complaint is submitted does not have an obligation to take part in the procedure.

His delegation had participated in the work of the Working Group II (Arbitration and Conciliation) and would continue to do so.

At its thirty fifth session (New York, 17 28 June 2002), the Commission adopted the UNCITRAL Model Law on International Commercial Conciliation.

(iii) Consideration of annexes containing arbitration and conciliation procedures, in accordance with article 28, paragraphs 2(a) and 6, of the Convention

For the purpose indicated in paragraph 1 of this rule, the Committee may, when appropriate, set up an ad hoc conciliation commission.

At its thirty fifth session (Vienna, 19 30 November 2001), the Working Group considered draft model legislative provisions on conciliation (on the basis of documents A CN.9 WG.II WP.115 and A CN.9 WG.II WP.116) and approved the final version of the draft provisions in the form of a draft model law on international commercial conciliation.

The African Group noted with keen interest the progress made by the Working Groups on Procurement, Arbitration and Conciliation, Transport Law and Security Interests.
