Kabul convoy attack Nato soldier killed in suicide blast

The convoy arrived in Jowhar on 21 June 2005.

In early October an assault on a British embassy convoy near Kandahar wounded several people, while a suicide bomber drove into a Canadian army convoy a week earlier and killed one Afghan.

The convoy left Nejmeh Square and drove along Ahdab Street and on to Fosh Street.

(a) On 14 February 2005, shortly before midnight, the six vehicles forming Mr. Hariri's convoy and one BMW (not connected with the convoy) were removed from the scene of the explosion and taken to the Helou Police Barracks in the city of Beirut.

He orchestrated an aid convoy into the region that, according to NATO, was mere cover for a Russian invasion force.

On close scrutiny, the recorded footage showed a white pickup truck entering the area of the explosion shortly before Mr. Hariri's convoy.

At the junction of Fosh Street and Seaport Street, the convoy turned left and took the coast road towards Ain M'reisa and the Hotel St Georges.

During the transportation of weapons and ammunition by road, the vehicles are almost always escorted by a convoy of several militias and technicals in pick up trucks.

On 29 May, a CIS peacekeeping force convoy of 11 vehicles came under fire in the vicinity of Zugdidi two vehicles were damaged, but no causalities were reported.

The suspect white pickup truck took approximately 22 seconds to travel the distance and entered the area of the explosion 1 minute and 49 seconds before the Hariri convoy.

The Government of the Sudan also took steps to move in convoy from Ed Da'ein to Nyala a backlog of 250 trucks that had built up because of the insecurity.

In January 2013, these groups formed a convoy of several hundred pick ups and ATVs, armed with heavy machineguns. The desert cities of Gao, Kidal, and Timbuktu quickly fell to them.

As a general matter, the FFM would first survey a target area either in the convoy or by map and then disperse in different directions to make observations and interview residents.

As noted in the previous report (see S 2005 662, paras. 132 134), CCTV video footage from the HSBC bank overlooking the crime scene showed a Mitsubishi Canter truck entering the area of the explosion shortly before the arrival of Mr. Hariri's convoy.

Some military experts may say that Syria s air defense systems are too sophisticated to suppress, making a no fly zone too dangerous to enforce. But Israel has managed to attack Syrian territory twice destroying a North Korean staffed nuclear reactor in 2007 and, more recently, striking a Hezbollah convoy with no casualties or loss of planes.

According to the information received, U Tin Oo, a citizen of Myanmar born on 3 March 1927, Vice President of the National League for Democracy (NLD), was arrested by police and military forces on 30 May 2003 at around 7 p.m. in Kyi village near the Dipeyin (Tabayin) township, Sagaing Division, when an NLD convoy was attacked by Government affiliated thugs during a speaking tour of northern Myanmar.

His security convoy consisted of six vehicles first, a jeep with four local policemen (the lead vehicle) second, a black Mercedes with three private security guards third, a black armour plated Mercedes driven by Mr. Hariri accompanied by Mr. Fuleihan fourth, a black Mercedes with three private security guards fifth, a black Mercedes with three private security guards and sixth, a black Jeep (an ambulance) bringing up the rear with three private security guards.
