Food aid is delivered via a network of 60 fixed distribution centres and 123 mobile distribution points in more remote areas.

These systems are being further developed in order to embrace other constituent elements of the tourism services distribution network, such as travel agents and hotels.

In the telecommunications sector, installed digital telephone exchanges and optical fibre transmission systems covering 980,000 lines were completed and the related local distribution network is nearing completion.

In order to ensure their wide distribution and use within the INSARAG network, the INSARAG guidelines have been translated into Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean and Spanish.

The United Nations could develop and own its own network rent a full service for programme distribution combined with worldwide short wave coverage rent a service based on satellite distribution and local rebroadcasting or seek the support of regional broadcasting unions and international broadcasters.

The fourth phase of the NHDP is a new initiative meant to provide balanced and equitable distribution in terms of improving and widening the highway network throughout the country.
