Economic census

The workshop reviewed the economic census of China conducted in 2002 and provided an opportunity for countries to exchange experiences in several key areas relating to economic census.

Economic census is still an important statistical activity in many countries.

III. STAGE 2 CENSUS OF TRADERS PERCEPTIONS

This will be followed, in due course, by a census of indigenous communities conducted by the Department of Census and Statistics.

The Statistics Division, in collaboration with the National Bureau of Statistics of China, organized the International Workshop on Economic Census in Beijing in July 2005.
