Intensification of agricultural production is important, all the more for the reason that Bosnia and Herzegovina agriculture does not produce half of the food needed for domestic population more than 50 per cent of Bosnia and Herzegovina imports are food.

Asian energy imports more than tripled between 1985 and 1997, reaching 13 percent of world energy imports.
