At its thirty eighth session, in 1983, the General Assembly expressed its satisfaction that the Secretary General had revived the Advisory Board on Disarmament Studies and requested him to report annually to the Assembly on the work of the Board (resolution 38 183 O).

The Board notes that the main challenge for UNOPS in generating an adequate general ledger is data integrity.

In this context, it was suggested that the operation of the Trade and Development Board should be improved, and the link between the Board and the General Assembly on trade and development issues should be strengthened through, inter alia, a revival of the joint meeting between the Board and the Second Committee on the General Assembly's agenda item on trade and development.

Under item 15, the Board had before it a report by the Director General on preparations for the eleventh session of the General Conference (IDB.30 18).

The General Assembly also requested the Board to follow up on previous recommendations and to report to it accordingly.

Senior managers shall include the chairman of the board of directors, general managers, deputy general managers, the chief supervisor and other personnel actually performing the above duties of the Company.
