Well, we Texans like a little vinegar in our greens, honey. Gives them flavor.

The incrementally cooler colors blues, greens, yellows, and finally grays indicate areas of much lower ultraviolet radiation.

And then there are the colors in the clouds of hail forming, the greens and the turquoise blues.

It's so big and powerful and efficient that it can take resources from the greens, from the defectors, the cheaters.

And so you attract people through that into learning, not adding that on after all the learning has been done and you've eaten your cognitive greens.

I deeply believe that we can make much more protection of the environment if we get rid if we throw overboard this fundamentalism that some of the greens have showed in the past.

But what we do know is that here on earth, chlorophyil's strengths far out weight its distaste for greens, and for our planet, at least, may be that's not such a bad thing

For example, greens advocate free municipal transport in major cities. In general, they argue, we need more care, not more cars, so stimulus money should go to health, education, and the protection of the environment.

The liberals remain the third force of the European parliament, with around 80 deputies, less than its previous 100 members. The Greens appear to be the main beneficiaries of the elections and become the forth force they will get around 55 seats, a gain of more than 10 seats.

Surgeries dropped from 885,790 in 1990 to 536,547 in 1995, a glaring indicator of the decline in hospital resources. Surgical services face shortages of most modern anaesthetics and related equipment, specialized catheters, third generation antibiotics and other key drugs, sutures, instruments, fabric for surgical greens, air conditioning equipment and disposable supplies

Still, despite the FDP s implosion and the opposition parties disastrous electoral strategy, Merkel needs a coalition partner. The Left is not an option, and any attempt at building a coalition with the Greens a party that will be reeling from the shock of its poor performance for quite some time would court instability.

The pan European parties nomination of Spitzenkandidaten for the Commission presidency and the three direct debates among the nominees marked the start of building a genuine supranational European political space. Indeed, the endorsement of Juncker by the Social Democrats, the Greens, and the Liberals reflects their belief in the need for such a space.

As in the past, the effectiveness of these initiatives ultimately will depend on whether these impulses reach Europe and Japan, as well as emerging nations like China and Brazil. It is time for Greens everywhere to start attending to ecological matters again and, strange as it may sound, to look again to America for inspiration.

There are now serious concerns that the so called dark greens the harder line faction in Taiwan s pro independence pan green political camp will seize this issue as a stick with which to beat President Chen. As DPP legislator Hsiao Bi khim recently said, the anti secession law will make it very hard for us to be moderates .

Many Christian Democrats may be dreaming of the next election, and a new coalition with the Free Democrats and perhaps the Greens that would carry out the necessary welfare and labor market reforms. But the reality is that the CDU leadership is re orienting the party toward more socialist attitudes in order to attract a larger share of the electorate, making postponement of the necessary reforms all but inevitable.

Politics is still dominated by a large center left party and a large center right party, but smaller groups some claiming the center and others the right and left extremes challenge them to various degrees. In some countries, the Greens have their own identity, close to the left but, despite remarkable progress in Germany, they remain unable to reach the electoral size of the large center right and center left parties.

It is normal for conservatives to argue for less government and to place greater trust in free markets, and for social democrats and greens to argue for public policies that deliver less income inequality, more public goods (such as a clean environment and public transport), and more regulation to help markets function with greater stability and distribute benefits more evenly. The competitiveness debate should indeed be part of the debate about Europe s renewal.
