Crimes of rape and sexual violence were committed with impunity, largely in IDP camps.

They have been forced to leave their home and land to reside in either IDP or refugee camps.

In a deeply worrying new development, camps for internally displaced persons (IDP) are themselves increasingly being attacked by militias.

Tens of thousands more have become night commuters , travelling nightly by foot from IDP camps to urban centres to avoid abduction.
