The objective of UNODC laboratory and scientific services is to provide scientific and technical support and advisory services to Member States and all branches of UNODC in support of drug and crime control activities.

As in previous years, the programme has continued to provide materials, equipment, technical data and guidelines, and reference standards, which have led to an improvement in drug analysis and laboratory services worldwide, ensuring access of an increased number of Governments to high quality laboratory results.
