Lawrence is not your military adviser.

The Chief Police Adviser and the Chief Military Adviser will have separate reporting lines to my Special Representative.

For command and control purposes, the police advisers will report to the Chief Police Adviser, while the military advisers (whose functions are described below) will report to the Chief Military Adviser.

The four member team of military advisers, including the senior military adviser and his assistant operating from Baghdad, a military adviser stationed in Basrah and one in Erbil, continue to provide direct liaison for the provision of support by the Multinational Force to UNAMI operations.

Also, the Military Adviser, along with the immediate supervisors of gratis military personnel, ensured that the latter complied with United Nations rules, code of conduct and military discipline.

Joint military and police training adviser teams are deployed to each of the three border sectors.

The Secretary General's Military Adviser and Legal Counsel could be helpful in the drafting of mandates.

As part of the expansion of UNPOS, a military adviser is expected to join the Office's staff.

3. Eight additional posts are requested two P 4 (Staff Officer Military Personnel and Military Assistant to the Military Adviser) two P 3 (Military Affairs Project Officer and Military Information Systems Officer) and four General Service, one of them at the principal level.

Furthermore, the Military Adviser to the Secretary General provided the Turkish Government with annual performance evaluation reports for the Turkish officers.

The Office will also include a Senior Police Adviser (P 5), a Senior Military Adviser (P 5), a Special Assistant (P 4), a Personal Security Officer (Field Service) and three General Service posts for administrative research assistants.

The Force Commander, who is already in theatre as the Chief Military Adviser of UNAMIS, would report directly to my Special Representative.

As indicated above, both were severely wounded, resulting in the death the following day of the Deputy Military Adviser, Lt. Colonel Carmine Calo (Italy).

The requirements relate to the subsistence allowance of five military advisers, at an average rate of 60 per day plus an overlap of five days for old and new advisers ( 111,000) clothing allowance of 200 per military adviser per year ( 1,000) death and disability at 1,600 per military adviser per year ( 8,000) and travel at 7,200 each, including provision for retained accommodation in respect of travel within Afghanistan ( 36,000).
