108. Articles 135 to 138 of the Employment Act established the National Council on Employment, Productivity and an Index Linked Minimum Living Wage.

(a) National, which determines the minimum wage and some additional remuneration

Prior to raising the minimum monthly wage (the basic salary) the issue is coordinated at the National Trilateral Cooperation Council (employers, the state and trade unions).

It was not enough to raise the national minimum wage periodically a reformulation of the wage structures in female dominated professions was needed.
