There is no air in space.

There are no weapons in space at present.

Latvia has no national space research programmes and is not a member State of the European Space Agency.

In our view there is no technological inevitability in the weaponization of space.

The Russian declaration in no way limits possibilities and prospects for international cooperation in outer space exploration or the use of outer space for peaceful purposes.

Stressing that no actions be taken that would lead to the weaponization of outer space,

Space is just one aspect, so there s no meaning to say absolutely where something is.

The fundamental legal instrument governing outer space activities, the OST, has loopholes with regards to the prevention of outer space weaponization, and no international consensus has been reached on how to address the serious challenges facing outer space.

We have already stated that at present and for the near future the Russian Federation has no plans to develop any space weapon systems, or deploy them in space.

Some of these are hopeless universes, completely sterile, with other kinds of pathologies like no notion of space, no notion of time, no matter, other problems like that.

(ii) Any change of status in operations (inter alia, when a space object is no longer functional)

If adopted widely, such declarations could help build confidence that no nation will station weapons in space.

It is important to bear in mind that at present there are no weapons in outer space.

Last year we stated that at that time and for the near future the Russian Federation had no plans to create and deploy any kind of space weapon system in outer space.

In his view, this Conference has brought about a range of useful recommendations, including improving the 1967 Outer Space Treaty, constructive engagement and cooperation, verification, unilateral declaration on no first deployment of weapons in outer space, a space code of conduct, negotiate a legal instrument to prevent the weaponization in outer space, ensure space common security etc., that need to be further explored by the international community.
