The CNC is a specialised armed force whose role is the protection of civil nuclear sites and nuclear materials on designated UK nuclear licensed sites and in transit.

Specialisation within all bodies involved in combating the financing of terrorism. This applies to the Dutch FIU (MOT), the specialised financial intelligence police unit (BLOM) and the Public Prosecution Service.

The Chairmen of the three committees have held informal meetings in order to find new areas of cooperation and coordination among the Committees.
