The financial situation in the six year period 1994 1999 can be characterized by income and programme support charges stagnating at 137,092,800 in the biennium 1994 1995, 130,823,800 in the biennium 1996 1997 and 134,030,000 in the biennium 1998 1999 (see table 2).

The status quo is no longer sustainable. Only a comprehensive strategy can rescue the eurozone now.

The annual consumption of XP Maxamaid (powder) and XP Maxamun (powder), a product used in the special diets of children with phenylketonuria, which costs approximately 275,360.

Accordingly, the previous year end projection of cash available for regular budget purposes has been revised from the original forecast of a negative 247 million to a negative 50 million.

The answer to many of the questions posed lay in the status of contributions and the 2 billion in arrears.

These challenges are even greater if one takes into account the need for public policies to be geared towards improving equality between men and women and to reflect the country's multicultural reality.

With a deficit of 58 million, the financial situation of UNHCR has deteriorated again.

International trade in pineapple juice shows considerable fluctuations due to supply variations, but amounted to 280 million in 1995.

Taking into account the repayment of 68 million by UNMIK, as at 28 February 2005 the amount of outstanding loans had increased by 8 million, to 57,816,000, and the updated cash position of closed peacekeeping missions was 84,898,000.

Furthermore, with the budget denominated in dollars, but a significant proportion of expenditures in euros, the financial situation is subject to the vagaries of currency fluctuations.

86. Cash position. Outstanding cash pledges at 31 December 1996 under all accounts amounted to 93.5 million, of which 35.3 million related to the regular budget and 58.2 million to projects.

The cash position of the Agency improved during the first half of the reporting period, from 134.2 million at the beginning of 2004 to 162.1 million by 31 December 2004.

Schedule 3 shows the status of the approved programme budget and indicates that programme expenditures against the final budget were 70,099,950, representing underexpenditure of 4,442,950, a 6 per cent variance.

The financial situation of Kondo Inc. deteriorated and Mr. Banner asked Mr. Alan to grant the company a loan of 1 million.

The financial situation of the General Fund of UNITAR improved significantly in 2004, with income in excess of expenditure of over 400,000, compared to a shortfall of income over expenditure of 130,000 at the end of the previous biennium.

The current report examines the financial and completion status of those projects, currently valued at 35.4 million.

If there are large dollar debts outstanding, and many firms find themselves in the same position, the additional demand for dollars will cause the exchange rate to depreciate even further. And that, of course, causes the dollar value of the collateral to fall yet again.

The provision of 57,000 includes 7,000 for rental of office space in Zagreb, 27,000 for the repair of government provided premises in order to restore them into their original condition at the end of the mission, 8,000 for garbage septic removal and cleaning of premises and 15,000 for commercially supplied electricity, water and fuel.

Schedule 6 shows the status of operating funds advanced to agencies at 31 December 1997, amounting to 12,608,271, which had declined from 14,781,518 at the end of 1995.

As indicated in the report of the Secretary General on the financial situation of the Institute (ibid.), the available balance of the INSTRAW Trust Fund as at 1 January 2005 amounted to 959,675, including 546,200 representing 50 per cent of the subvention of 1,092,400.

Under the agreement signed in January 2004, the sale was on an as is where is basis at 10 per ton.

According to the 2005 Human Development Report, the Palestinian population received a disproportionate amount of aid in relation to their situation and needs (288.6 dollars per capita), compared to Sudan, where aid represented only 18.5 dollars per capita.

New retail plans proposed by different types of industries will lead new retail development into a state of diversified growth.

Greater efforts must be made and special attention paid to the needs of the most disadvantaged groups, taking into account the country's multicultural reality.

Unlike the US dollar, there is no obvious way to put pressure on the European Central Bank to depreciate the currency in order to obtain a competitive advantage over other economies. European governments are not in a position to instruct the ECB to purchase government bonds.

The first option would be to progress de facto toward a two speed EU without establishing further legal commitments. Eurozone countries, together with others willing to join the euro in the future (the eurozone plus ), could simply decide to use the legal means already available to increase cooperation.

28. The cash position of UNFPA is sensitive for example, in 1996 UNFPA was pledged General Fund contributions of 302 million, but by 31 December 1996 it had received only 232 million in cash receipts to cover expenditure of 300 million.

Uganda therefore supported the Secretary General's request for 1,147,530,000 and would give objective consideration to the Advisory Committee's proposal to reduce that amount to 1,134,737,300, in the light of the current situation on the ground.

5. On the other hand, regular budget cash, including reserves, has been in a deficit position at each year end since 1995, when the negative balance was 195 million, virtually the same as in 1996, when it was a negative 197 million.

17. With regard to the latest cash position of the peacekeeping operations in Haiti, the Advisory Committee was informed that, as at 11 May 1998, 93.2 million was the position with respect to UNMIH and 10.0 million with respect to UNSMIH.

5. As for the cash situation, so far in 1997 the Organization had received 972 million against regular budget assessments for both the current and prior years. Of the aggregate amount, 803 million had been contributed by the 15 largest contributing Member States and 169 million by all other States.

There are other dimensions for flaps.

These are five state state machines.

The forecast was that there would be a negative cash balance at year end of 261 million and that the negative position would persist for five months in 1998.

For example, the system does not adequately reflect the location and status of the more than 200 million worth of assets in UNHCR s possession.
