Other high prevalence countries are Honduras (7.6 per cent), Chile (5.5 per cent), Colombia (3.4 per cent), Ghana (3 per cent), Namibia (2 per cent), Bolivia (1.8 per cent), Mexico (1.3 per cent), Israel and United States (both 1 per cent).

Whereas the total unemployment rate amounted to 7.9 per cent and that of foreigners to 12.2 per cent in 1989, the relevant rates were 7.2 per cent and 10.9 per cent in 1990 6.3 per cent and 10.7 per cent in 1991 6.6 per cent and 12.2 per cent in 1992 8.2 per cent and 15.1 per cent in 1993 9.2 per cent and 16.2 per cent in 1994 and 8.3 per cent and 16.6 per cent in 1995.

Other high annual prevalence countries in Europe are Slovenia (4 per cent), Denmark (3.3 per cent), Switzerland (2.4 per cent), Croatia (1.9 per cent), Czech Republic (1.5 per cent), Germany (1.2 per cent) and Portugal (1 per cent).

The ethnic groups were divided as follows Belarusians, 78 per cent Russians, 13 per cent Poles, 4 per cent Ukrainians, 3 per cent Jews, 1 per cent and other nationalities, 1 per cent.

In the total employment by sectors in 1996, services share was 22.6 per cent, Government of Guam 20.2 per cent, retail 19.0 per cent, construction 11.1 per cent, transport and utilities 8.8 per cent, finance, insurance, real estate 3.9 per cent, wholesale 3.3 per cent, manufacturing 2.5 per cent and agriculture 0.5 per cent.11

The female population is 25.8 per cent urban, 31.13 per cent suburban and 43 per cent rural, while the male population is 25.28 per cent urban, 32.02 per cent suburban and 42.71 per cent rural.

Kosovo wide billings and collections by publicly owned enterprises are increasing, approaching 100 per cent for PTK (collections up 5 per cent to 70 per cent) 84 per cent for water sector utilities (collections up 15 per cent to 50 per cent) 60 per cent for KEK (collections 32 per cent).

364. Distributed heterogeneously throughout the national territory, the entities with a greater percentage of indigenous population in Mexico are Oaxaca (18.74 per cent), Chiapas (14.01 per cent), Veracruz (10.77 per cent), Yucatán (9.95 per cent), Puebla (9.62 per cent), Hidalgo (5.98 per cent), Guerrero (5.85 per cent) and Mexico State (5.66 per cent).

Output increased by 8 per cent in 1997 with manufacturing up 18 per cent, transport 10 per cent and agriculture 5.9 per cent.

The main areas supported by these 135 United Nations partnership initiatives were education (22 per cent), health (21 per cent), HIV AIDS (21 per cent), protection (13 per cent), gender (13 per cent) and emergencies (11 per cent).

Minority communities' employment in the public service providers is 5.83 per cent overall (Kosovo Electricity Company under 1.5 per cent, Post and Telecommunication Company 4 per cent, railway 15 per cent, airport 1.7 per cent, water, waste and irrigation 16.6 per cent, district heating 12 per cent).

This is true of Apurímac, where the rate of illiteracy among women is 51.5 per cent of Huancavelica, 47.4 per cent of Ayacucho, 45.8 per cent of Cajamarca, 39 per cent of Cuzco, 36.4 per cent of Huánuco, 34.6 per cent and of Puno, 32.9 per cent.

In addition to the ethnic Macedonian majority, the population is 22.8 per cent Albanian, 4 per cent Turk, 2.2 per cent Roma, 2.1 per cent Serb and 0.4 per cent Vlach.

Among the metals, copper prices declined by 36 per cent between June 1997 and February 1998, nickel by 24 per cent, zinc 22 per cent, and lead 16 per cent, while among the agricultural materials sawnwood prices fell by 34 per cent, rubber 29 per cent, wool 27 per cent, and jute 25 per cent.

Ethnically, the population breaks down into 89 per cent Samoan Polynesian, 2 per cent Caucasian, 4 per cent Tongan and 5 per cent others.

In the United States, Japan and Republic of Korea, respectively, tariffied duties on beef will decline from 31.1 per cent to 26.4 per cent, 93 per cent to 50 per cent (already implemented), and 44.5 per cent to 40 per cent.

Today Germany has 1,850,000 Turks (28.6 per cent of the foreign population) 916,000 people from the former Yugoslavia (14.1 per cent) 558,000 Italians (8.6 per cent) 346,000 Greeks (5.3 per cent) 286,000 Poles (4.4 per cent) 168,000 Romanians (2.6 per cent) and 134,000 Spaniards (2.1 per cent).

At 31 March 1998, the allocation to equities was 66.2 per cent compared to 63.2 per cent at 31 March 1996, bonds were 25.5 per cent, a decrease from 26.2 per cent, real estate was 4.6 per cent, compared to 5.3 per cent, and short term investments and reserves were 3.7 per cent, compared to 5.3 per cent.

With regard to documents and related services, decreases were reported in translation (10 per cent), word processing (25 per cent), editing (33 per cent), reproduction (18 per cent) and distribution (38 per cent).

The ethnic and racial composition of Guam s population includes 40 per cent Chamorro, 24 per cent Filipino, 15 per cent Caucasian, 5 per cent Micronesian and 16 per cent other ethnic groups.2

The absolute majority of the surveyed households evaluated as well satisfied their requirements for bread (95.1 per cent) and other grain products (81.0 per cent), potatoes (94.7 per cent), sugar (86.0 per cent), milk and milk drinks (83.2 per cent), eggs (80.5 per cent) and vegetable fats (76.5 per cent).

The major audit observations (61 per cent) are in the following key areas financial management (18 per cent) audit management (14 per cent) Information and communications technology (ICT) management (10 per cent), treasury management (10 per cent) and procurement management (9 per cent).

The Forum attracted 4,389 participants, including Government officials (17.7 per cent), local authorities (16.4 per cent), non governmental organizations (21.2 per cent), United Nations entities (4.1 per cent), professional and research institutions (8 per cent) and the private sector (8 per cent).

The sectoral distribution of completed contracts was electricity (39.9 per cent of total), telecommunications (14.8 per cent), education (10.3 per cent), management and implementation (9.6 per cent) and roads and highways (8.7 per cent).

The sectoral breakdown of available foreign funding was mainly for electricity (33 per cent), education (12 per cent), sanitation (11 per cent), water supply (9 per cent) and management and implementation (6 per cent).

Africa receives nearly 40 per cent of all United Nations system resources, Asia and the Pacific 22 per cent, Latin America 22 per cent, Europe 6.6 per cent, and West Asia 6 per cent.

The cumulative annualized total returns over the past 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years were approximately 12.4 per cent, 10.8 per cent, 12.9 per cent, 12.5 per cent and 10 per cent, respectively.

These accounted for 12.7 per cent and 11.7 per cent of 2004 employment, respectively, as compared with 15.5 per cent and 22.1 per cent in 1999.

Their contribution falls markedly to 8 per cent for pest control, 7 per cent for marketing, 7 per cent for pruning and 3 per cent for ploughing.

The majority of women are educators (20.5 per cent), sociologists (17.6 per cent) and nurses (14.7 per cent), whereas men tend to be engineers (39.4 per cent).

Figure I shows that the percentage of programme expenditures was highest for ECD (34 per cent), followed by immunization plus (22 per cent), girls' education (21 per cent), child protection (10 per cent), HIV AIDS (9 per cent) and other areas (4 per cent).

Of the women who have the operation, 13.6 per cent are aged under 25 29.5 per cent, 25 to 29 33.9 per cent, 30 to 34 18 per cent, 35 to 39 4.2 per cent, 40 to 44 and 0.8 per cent, 45 to 49.

The geographical distribution of responses remained largely unchanged between the second and third reporting periods (Africa, 19 per cent Americas, 19 per cent Asia, 28 per cent Europe, 32 per cent and Oceania, 2 per cent).

The figures for other regions were Europe 93 per cent, Africa 75 per cent and Asia 61 per cent.

The largest recruiting departments have been UNOG (22 per cent of all recruitments, mainly in the General Service and related categories), DPKO (14 per cent), ECA (9 per cent), DPI (8.5 per cent), HC CHR (7 per cent), UNOIP (5 per cent) and DM OCSS (4.5 per cent). In the Professional and higher categories, the highest levels of recruitment in departments and offices were to be found in DPKO (25 per cent), DPI (15.5 per cent) and HC CHR (15 per cent).

Of these, 40 per cent are within sub Saharan Africa, 4 per cent in North Africa, 11 per cent in Latin America, 6 per cent in the Caribbean, 5 per cent in West Asia, 5 per cent in East Asia, 8 in South East Asia and Oceania, and 5 per cent in South Asia.

The types of allegations included rape (9 per cent), sex with minors (29 per cent), sex for employment (7 per cent) and sex with prostitutes (38 per cent).

Thirty eight per cent of the children live in urban areas and 62 per cent in rural regions, 46 per cent are girls, and 64 per cent, boys.
