28D.18 The Facilities and Commercial Services Division is responsible for this component of the central support services.

Mr. Ngomuo (Information Technology Services Division, Office of Central Support Services) said that, currently, there were six access levels to ODS.

The principal entrance examination for senior bureaucracy is the Central Superior Services Examination.

The first pilot project involved the Central Planning and Coordination Service and the Translation Services.

The status of implementation is discussed with respect to (a) central legal services, (b) Secretariat services and treaty matters and (c) review by the Sixth Committee.

The activities for which the Office of Central Support Services is responsible fall under subprogramme 4, Support services, of programme 24, Management and support services, of the biennial programme plan for the period 2006 2007.

28D.2 The Office of Central Support Services has undergone significant organizational restructuring during the biennium 2004 2005.

Based on previous proposals and agreements, the main structure of the Central Product Classification remains unchanged, but improvements and adjustments have been made to the following areas agricultural raw and processed products, information products, information and communication technology related products, transportation services, accommodation services, professional services, waste management services, health services, telecommunication services and originals.

The central focus of Indonesia's decentralization law was to provide better government services and to enhance people's well being.

24.20 This subprogramme is the responsibility of the Security and Safety Service of the Office of Central Support Services.

All healthcare centers from central to local levels, both public and non public, are responsible for providing reproductive healthcare services and implementing the National Standards Guidelines on Reproductive Healthcare Services.

The Information Technology Services Division and the Procurement Service of the Office of Central Support Services have taken action to ensure that all aspects of agreements with third parties are adequately controlled.

The services include personnel services (recruitment and administration of headquarters staff and international field staff) financial services (budgets, payroll, general accounting, treasury and expenditure approval) and general services (office space, building management, communications, mail and messenger service, issuance of official documents, travel and transportation assistance, support to central local area network computer services and e mail and Internet access).

The Office of Internal Oversight Services has recommended the migration of the technical development, maintenance and support functions from the Department of Peacekeeping Operations to the Department of Management, specifically to the Information Technology Services Division of the Office of Central Support Services.

The team will coordinate the implementation of a standardized access control system in close consultation with the Office of Central Support Services.

The relationship between sub national and central governments includes the general division of responsibilities for providing and financing public services national subsidies that at least partly pay for various services delivered locally and tax collection.

Similarly, the estimates of 5,200 for common support services for each activity would be absorbed within the provisions to be made available under section 28D, Office of Central Support Services, of the proposed programme budget.

The welfare reform reinforced an ongoing shift towards regional, rather than central, provision of social support and social services for different vulnerable groups.

Support to these complex specialized information systems will be provided by the Executive Office, given the fact that they fall outside the scope of the Information Technology Services Division of the Office of Central Support Services.

Additional initiatives are required to build up the central Government's capacity to (a) coordinate and plan at the provincial level (b) ensure that social services are delivered and (c) reflect local needs in the central Government's planning processes.

The team was to review and coordinate the implementation of a standardized access control system in close consultation with the Office of Central Support Services, but Egypt wondered how the Secretariat interpreted implementation , as the General Assembly had not yet approved the access control project, and what role it intended to give the Office of Central Support Services.

These central banks offered their services primarily to domestic actors, but they also extended their largess to foreign private entities. Indeed, even foreign states benefited after central banks entered into swap agreements, giving one another unlimited access to their respective currencies.

A very few States have introduced additional safeguards such as limiting overseas charitable assistance to goods and services or coordinating such assistance through a central agency.

Additional resources of 10,400 would also be required under section 28D, Office of Central Support Services, of the proposed programme budget for the biennium 2006 2007.

In Central Asia, the successful Tajik Drug Control Agency is expanding its operations and has managed to develop excellent, standard setting forensic units and laboratory services.

Views were expressed that the attention of the General Assembly should be drawn to the revisions made to section 28D, Office of Central Support Services, of the proposed programme budget, as subprogramme 4, Support services, of programme 24, Management and support services, has been replaced by programme 27 of the biennial programme plan.

According to the Law on the System of Payments, the activity of money remittance transfer services is illegal if they are not licensed by the Central Bank.

60. Commends the efforts of the Information Technology Services Division of the Office of Central Support Services in ensuring that the required technological infrastructure is in place to accommodate the imminent linkage of the Official Document System to the United Nations web site

Mr. Toh (Assistant Secretary General for Central Support Services) said that, in addition to the usual security checks, commercial vehicles were subject to inspection by the Canine Unit.

One of the areas critically affected by the suspension of recruitment is the messenger sub unit of the Mail Operations Unit in the Office of Central Support Services.

We identified stable and efficient payment systems as pivotal for the financial infrastructure and emphasised the role of central banks as a supplier and overseer of payment services.

The activities outlined in the present section fall within the framework of programme 24, Management and central support services, of the biennial programme plan for the period 2006 2007.

A notable feature is that under GRAP 10 seats will be reserved for women in the Central Superior Services (CSS) (Pl. see Chapter VII, page 42, paras 54 58).
