The closing plenary meeting will be held this afternoon at 5.30 p.m. in the General Assembly Hall.

During the closing plenary meeting, all nine major groups were given an opportunity to provide final comments.

At its closing plenary, on 11 March 2005, the Commission adopted its agreed recommendations (see chapter I).

It authorized the Rapporteur to complete its report in the light of the proceedings of the closing plenary.

At its 170th (closing) plenary meeting, the Working Party adopted its draft report as contained in document TD B WP L.116, subject to amendments to the summaries of statements, and authorized the completion of the report taking into account the proceedings of the closing plenary.

That will be followed by closing remarks by the Co Chairpersons and the closure of the High level Plenary Meeting.

The Friday afternoon meeting will have 32 speaking slots since the last hour will be devoted to the closing of the High level Plenary Meeting.

At its closing plenary meeting, on 11 March 2005, the Commission adopted its draft report (TD B COM.2 L.21), subject to any amendments to the summaries of statements decided to include in its report the Chairperson's summaries on the substantive items and authorized the Rapporteur to finalize the report in the light of the proceedings of the closing plenary meeting.

At its closing plenary meeting, on 25 February 2005, the Commission adopted its agreed recommendations on agenda items 3, 4 and 5 (see chapter I above).

At the closing plenary of its eighth session, on 15 January 2004, the Commission approved the agenda items for the ninth session and the related expert meetings.

Since this is the last plenary meeting under the presidency of Nigeria, and as is the tradition, I would like to offer you my personal closing remarks.

The Executive Director also recommends that, on the afternoon of Thursday, 9 February 2006, the Council Forum should meet in its closing plenary meeting. It is further recommended that the Council Forum, at its plenary meeting on the morning of Tuesday, 7 February 2006, should establish sessional committees, including a Committee of the Whole.
