At its third session, the Preparatory Committee for the Development of a Strategic Approach to International Chemicals Management agreed that the Bureau should remain in office until the opening of the International Conference on Chemicals Management in order to facilitate any intersessional work aimed at ensuring the success of the Conference.

Planning, synchronization and accountability are therefore the three pillars of a dynamic process of conference management from a full system perspective.
