Of the total EAP, 82.6 per cent is employed. In rural areas, 73.9 per cent of economically active women are employed, versus 92.3 per cent of economically active men.

Women are 42 of the total economically active persons in agricultural households.

Within the growing informal sector, women are over represented, with 66.5 per cent of women considered as economically active working there, by comparison with 55.6 per cent of economically active men.

The feminization rates, or, in other words, the proportion of females to males, show that economically active rural women account for 26 per cent in proportion to total economically active males.

The percentage of economically active females in the 9 15 and 20 24 age groups noticeably increases.

In urban zones, only 32 of women are considered economically active, against 69 of those in rural areas.

Only 36.4 per cent of the country's women are economically active, as against 79.2 per cent of men.

Courses requiring attendance mainly attract adolescents and the elderly, with relatively little participation by the economically active population.

373. The higher proportion of economically active women seems to be associated with an increase in their educational levels.

The evolution of the Economically Active Population (PEA) presents itself as an active participation of women, while male's is slightly lower, in accordance with the parameters of general population growth.
