1. Public outreach programmes

The Department's seminar series, Unlearning Intolerance , launched last year as part of its educational outreach activities, has found strong resonance with the members of the academic community, civil society and interfaith movements.

That is why educational and student outreach programmes are among the fastest growing activities of the United Nations information centres and services worldwide, encompassing student briefings, adaptation of United Nations educational kits, teacher training, curriculum support, workshops and other means of bringing the United Nations into the classroom.
