Major facilities and equipment include a vehicle assembly building, a mobile launcher, a pad service tower, propellant storage and supply facilities, a launch control building (blockhouse) and a range control centre.

The section is, thus, responsible for maritime security, aviation security, physical security, personnel security, IT security, emergency management, threat assessments and a newly established situation centre.

CCIRC operates out of the Government Operations Centre, a facility that runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as part of Canada's National Emergency Response System.

The Office for Migrant Populations of the Control Centre for Special Infections implements interventions in settlements of immigrants refugees as well as the Street Programme which also addresses immigrants.

Later, when Hussein Kamel became the director of the Military Industrialization Commission, the Technical Research Centre was transferred to that Commission and remained under his direct control and supervision.
