It provides regular financial performance and status information to UNIDO stakeholders.

A financial template was created to help users select countermeasures for contaminated areas. Financial performance indicators are provided for user defined countermeasure projects. A web based version of the economic tool and site specific data, including radionuclide transfer factors, are slated for implementation as resources become available.

There is a need to integrate the Organization's programme and financial performance reports and to provide linkages between the different databases, e.g., IMIS, BIS, E drits E meets, to avoid redundant data entry and to facilitate automatic flow of programming and financial information, including cost accounting.

Administrative actions, information and financial data are managed in the Integrated Management Information System (IMIS) of the United Nations, which provides the secretariat with the necessary information to report to Parties on its operations and performance.

Hence, the financial performance can not be compared with the past years.

Data collection activities require considerable financial and human resources.

A reliability centered maintenance program continually adjusted procedures based on actual performance data and operational experience.

Financial performance for the period from 1 July 2003 to 30 June 2004

In July 2005, the Deputy Secretary General chaired the first organizational meeting of the Management Performance Board, which conducted a review of existing sources of managerial performance data.

The performance report on the budget for the period from 1 July 2004 to 30 June 2005 is therefore limited to financial resource performance.

This information is supplemented by the financial statements, which continue to be issued as part of the interim financial performance report.
