2. Resources made available to UNIFIL from its inception to 30 June 1998 amount to 2,882.0 million gross, and estimated expenditures amount to 2,865.3 million gross for the same period.

The resulting estimated unencumbered balance is 4,678,600 gross, or 12 per cent gross of the amount appropriated ( 5,008,000 net, or 13.7 per cent in net terms of the amount appropriated).

The resulting unencumbered balance of 15,247,300 gross ( 14,448,200 net) represents, in gross terms, 11 per cent of the amount appropriated.

The unspent balance of 21,752,900 gross ( 19,524,600 net) represents, in gross terms, some 12 per cent of the amount appropriated.

The additional amount requested is therefore reduced to 4,548,900 gross ( 4,171,700 net).

Of this amount, the recorded expenditure totalled 29,331,700 gross ( 27,968,800 net), resulting in an unencumbered balance of 2,570,300 gross ( 2,163,200 net).

The resulting unencumbered balance of 906,800 gross ( 865,200 net) represents in gross terms, approximately 3 per cent of the amount appropriated.

This would represent a reduction in the amount of 297,400 gross ( 259,800 net) from the amount of 68,611,900 gross ( 62,201,200 net) requested by the Secretary General in paragraph 36 of his report.

Of that amount, credits returned to Member States amounted to 22,011,500 gross ( 18,904,900 net).

A total amount of 25,986,000 gross ( 25,471,200 net) has been credited to Member States.

Resolves that, for the biennium 2004 2005, the amount of 255,909,500 United States dollars gross (231,506,500 dollars net) approved in its resolution 59 273 for the budget of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda shall be adjusted by the amount of 3,307,300 dollars gross (3,875,900 dollars net) for a total amount of 252,602,200 dollars gross (227,630,600 dollars net).

5. Resolves that, for the biennium 2006 2007, the amount of 277,127,700 United States dollars gross (254,757,400 dollars net) approved in its resolution 61 241 for the financing of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda shall be adjusted by the amount of 2,384,700 dollars gross (2,357,200 dollars net), for a total amount of 279,512,400 dollars gross (257,114,600 dollars net)

Resolves that, for the biennium 2004 2005, the amount of 329,317,900 United States dollars gross (298,437,000 dollars net) approved in its resolution 59 274 for the budget of the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia shall be adjusted by the amount of 21,012,700 dollars gross (21,962,900 dollars net) for a total amount of 308,305,200 dollars gross (276,474,100 dollars net).

Resolves that, for the biennium 2004 2005, the amount of 255,909,500 United States dollars gross (231,506,500 dollars net) approved in its resolution 59 273 for the budget of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda shall be adjusted by the amount of 3,307,300 dollars gross (3,875,900 dollars net) for a total amount of 252,602,200 dollars gross (227,630,600 dollars net).

Resolves that, for the biennium 2004 2005, the amount of 255,909,500 United States dollars gross (231,506,500 dollars net) approved in its resolution 59 273 for the budget of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda shall be adjusted by the amount of 3,307,300 dollars gross (3,875,900 dollars net) for a total amount of 252,602,200 dollars gross (227,630,600 dollars net).

Expenditures for the same period are estimated at 68,810,814 gross and an amount of 10,362,690 gross ( 9,503,012 net) has been credited to Member States.

25. The Advisory Committee notes that of the amount of 138.9 million gross, an amount of 111.8 million gross relates to the maintenance of UNTAES during the period from 1 July 1997 to 15 January 1998, an amount of 17.4 million gross relates to the liquidation of UNTAES during the period from 16 January to 30 June 1998 and an amount of 9.7 million gross relates to the maintenance of the Support Group for the period from 16 January to 30 June 1998.

As at 31 December 2004, expenditures incurred by UNMIK amount to 167,106,500 gross ( 155,809,800 net).

Actual and pro forma expenditures for the same period amount to 286,547,000 gross ( 271,785,200 net).

In addition, an amount of 6,516,800 gross ( 6,500,800 net) has been credited to Member States.
