Remuneration, minimum monthly salary and the subsistence minimum (1993 2001) On 1 August 2000 the CM passed the decision on increasing the minimum monthly wage as of 1 July 2001.

Since 1 March 1995, the monthly care allowance has been payable at the rate of 80 per cent of remuneration.

Breakdown of the number of the employed population by status of employment in Likewise, according to the information provided by the CSD, the average gross monthly wage of women is lower than the remuneration of men in all professions (see the table).

It is payable at a fixed rate and is indexed, being increased by a percentage of the growth in the average monthly remuneration between quarters.

The Assembly also decided that this amount should be assessed on Member States at a monthly rate of 1,548,375 gross ( 1,465,175 net).

162. A lump sum confinement allowance is payable to insured persons in respect of a birth, at the rate of 12 per cent of average monthly remuneration.

28. The total remuneration payable to a consultant by the United Nations should be specified in the consultant contract in terms of gross amounts.

(b) To assess the amount of 34,438,800 gross ( 33,609,600 net) at a monthly rate of 2,869,900 gross ( 2,800,800 net), should the Security Council decide to continue the mandate of the Force beyond 28 February 1999.

In order to implement the no loss no gain procedure, ICSC promulgated effective 1 January 2005 revised post adjustment rates so that the monthly net staff remuneration remains unchanged.

The amount of 4,706,655 gross ( 4,554,555 net) would be apportioned among Member States at the monthly rate of 1,568,885 gross ( 1,518,185 net) for the maintenance of the Mission for the period from 1 April to 30 June 1997.

21. The audit identified eight cases in which retired staff members received salary payments in excess of the established remuneration limits while at the same time also receiving monthly pension benefits.

By the same resolution, the Assembly also decided to apportion the amount of 18,421,300 gross ( 16,533,100 net), representing one third of the cost of the Mission, to be assessed on Member States at the monthly rate of 1,535,108 gross ( 1,377,758 net).

22. In paragraph 27 of the budget document, the Secretary General proposes that the General Assembly appropriate 136,719,500 gross ( 132,706,000 net) for the period from 1 July 1998 to 30 June 1999, to be assessed at the monthly rate of 11,393,292 gross ( 11,058,833 net).

The Advisory Committee was informed by representatives of the Secretary General that the reduction of 595 military personnel and the increase of 83 civilian police would result in a decrease in monthly resource requirements for the Mission from 11.7 million (gross) to 10.9 million (gross).

As indicated in annex I, column 7, an amount of 9,454,900 gross ( 9,011,800 net) has been estimated for the maintenance of UNOMSIL for the period from 14 January 1999 to 30 June 1999, which is equivalent to a monthly rate of 1,688,375 gross ( 1,609,250 net).

Remuneration 24. Persons engaged under a consultant contract will be paid at a daily, weekly or monthly rate or on a lump sum basis which represents the total value of the services to the Organization.

The Assembly also authorized assessment on Member States at a monthly rate of 22,945,408 gross ( 22,185,500 net) subject to the continuation of the mandate of UNTAES beyond 15 July 1997.
