You know, everything says, here's the growth rate of China, here's the growth rate of the U.S., here it goes straight line.

We needed to reduce the population growth rate.

The answer depends on two key variables the discount rate and future earnings growth. A lower discount rate and or a higher rate of expected earnings growth would justify higher equity valuations.

In terms of service export, the service export continued its rapid growth momentum since this year, and the export growth rate was 5.7 percentage points higher than the import growth rate from January to August.

Compared to countries with very slow growth rates, countries with reasonably high growth rates should borrow. But when a country s growth rate continues to increase, its saving rate would increase faster than its investment rate, so it is more likely to run a current account surplus.

Based on these trends and assuming a constant labor participation rate China s potential growth rate over the next decade is likely to hover around 6.9 7.6 , averaging 7.27 . This may be much lower than the 9.4 average growth rate in 1988 2013, but it is more than adequate by global standards.

We know that as the cost of this commodity rise, so the growth rate of the global economy decreases.

A back of the envelope calculation suffices to show that, unless the government is prepared to tolerate a further increase in the investment rate, achieving a GDP growth target of 7.5 implies a significant fall in the growth rate of investment. To compensate for the negative impact on GDP growth, and with export growth constrained by weak global demand, consumption must rise even more sharply, which is hard to imagine.

So the equation is simple 5.5 1.5 3.5 0.5 . That 0.5 is all that is left for job growth, because that's all the job growth required to meet demand given the remarkably strong rate of growth of productivity.

If the current annual growth rate of 0.5 per cent is maintained, we will achieve universal primary education by 2015.
