Health care protection is provided in a uniform system of health care activities by the implementation of measures of primary, specialist and consulting and hospital health care protection.

Different levels of health care are insufficiently connected and coordinated and health care protection is overrated, at the expense of primary protection.

The Law on Health Protection guarantees to each citizen of the Republic of Macedonia the right to health protection which includes, inter alia, access to health services also for women migrants.

The problems of women's state of health are unequal access to health protection in rural and urban areas, low levels of education, lack of gynaecological health protection services counselling for adolescents, low levels of health promotion and absence of a multidisciplinary, integrative attitude to problems of the health of women.

The health state of a woman is an important indicator of the health status of the population and the effectiveness of health care protection.

The health system in BiH is organized and provides services on three levels primary health care, consultative and specialist and hospital health care protection.

A special problem is providing health protection to the third age population if they are returnees, bearing in mind that the health protection system is not fully defined between the Entities.

It is necessary to improve the health protection of the elderly population by providing primary health protection, home nursing through family medicine departments, rehabilitation and medical care for this population group.

Health care protection and health care insurance of Republika Srpska are organized by two basic laws, the Law on health care protection ( Official Gazette of RS, no. 18 99 and 58 01) and the Law on health care insurance( Official Gazette of RS, no. 18 99 and 51 01 and 70 01).

In Republika Srpska, competent authorities are the Ministry of Labour and War Veterans' Protection and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection.

Health care protection implies the protection of health of citizens as individuals, their families, and society as a whole, which implies measures related to comparison and maintaining of the health of people, prevention and suppression of diseases and injurious, early detection of illnesses, timely treatment and rehabilitation.

The system of health protection for workers is a complex one, so the data on health in the workplace are still very scarce.
