We support the proposal to establish a Peacebuilding Support Office.

The Office had 22 staff members and its budget for 2003 was 296,578.

The Office then temporarily filled the post with a staff member from Headquarters.

The Cyprus field office provides for storage and limited maintenance of inspection and monitoring equipment, and could be used as a staging area for staff and logistics support should UNMOVIC activities resume in Iraq.

Over the last year, UNIDIR had 29 staff members, 2 of which were directing staff, 3 support staff (administrative and technical), 5 core substantive programme staff, 12 project research staff and 7 visiting research fellows.

The compliance department or the compliance posts shall provide compliance support to the business activities done by any other department, branch office or any employee and marketing staff, and assist and direct each department or branch office to set down the post compliance manual for compliance management.
