The second important group was manufacturing (14.5 ), followed by construction (12.5 ), community, social and personal services (11.2 ), transport, storage and communication (9.4 ) and wholesale retail trade (8.6 ).

Subprogramme 1 Strategic communication services

It relates to personal and state safety, access to social services and political processes.

However, Palestinian security services lacked equipment, ammunition and adequate means of communication.

Among them, the top three areas of growth are telecommunications, computer and information services, personal culture and entertainment services and insurance services, with growth rates of 61.1 , 38.8 and 26.5 , respectively.

The secretariat will review information and communication technology requirements for meetings and adjust services where possible.

27.18 The activities of the organizational units that provide support in carrying out the public information programme under subprogramme 1, Strategic communication services, subprogramme 2, New services, subprogramme 3, Library services, and subprogramme 4, Outreach services, are included under the respective subprogramme.

Aspects such as, access to information, provision of services network, capacity for personal perception of risk, personal ability to deal with risky situations, gender and generational relationships, attitudes related to sexuality, religious beliefs, poverty, and social and health services define a greater or lesser vulnerability and risk to infection by HIV AIDS.

These would require inter alia improved soil health, agro forestry, water management, rural infrastructure services such as roads and means of transport, modern energy services and basic communication technologies.

Based on previous proposals and agreements, the main structure of the Central Product Classification remains unchanged, but improvements and adjustments have been made to the following areas agricultural raw and processed products, information products, information and communication technology related products, transportation services, accommodation services, professional services, waste management services, health services, telecommunication services and originals.

27.11 Pursuant to General Assembly resolution 58 269 of 23 December 2003, resources identified for the conduct of monitoring and evaluation amounting to 2,002,000 are included under Executive direction and management ( 937,400), subprogramme 1, Strategic communication services ( 663,900), subprogramme 2, News services ( 329,700), subprogramme 3, Library services ( 19,200) and subprogramme 4, Outreach services ( 51,800).

27.25 The programme of activities under subprogramme 1, Strategic communication services, is carried out by the Strategic Communications Division, which includes information activities on the question of Palestine, the United Nations information centres, services and field offices.

27.28 Subprogramme 1, Strategic communication services, also includes public information services and activities implemented by the United Nations Information Service at Geneva, the United Nations Information Service at Vienna, the United Nations information centres and field offices.

Those services are often carried out in the framework of advisory missions, which are increasingly prepared and followed up through information and communication technology mechanisms.

This challenge must be addressed on several fronts, such as subsidizing mass transit development and use, encouraging smart growth urban development patterns and enacting public communication and incentive programmes to influence personal transport choices.

That proportion subsequently fell sharply, and the same decline could later be seen in industrial employment. Since the late twentieth century, most employment growth has come in services, particularly personal services a pattern that looks like a reversal of a previous historical trend.

In the budget for 2006 2007, requests are made for the equipment, software, communication devices and contractual services required to support the data centre relocation project.
