ECA management stated that the guidelines for regional advisory services have recently been reviewed and are beginning to be implemented.

The Prime Minister will soon chair the Economic and Fiscal Council, an advisory body to my Special Representative.

The Economic and Social Council has tried to fulfil this need by establishing country specific ad hoc advisory groups.

C. Functional commissions of the Economic and Social Council and the regional commissions

The observer for the International Scientific and Professional Advisory Council presented the 42 ancillary meetings held during the Eleventh Congress.

The Security Council has decided to organize a mission to Haiti led by Brazil, in conjunction with the Ad Hoc Advisory Group on Haiti of the Economic and Social Council.

The Council will recall that the Ad Hoc Advisory Group on Burundi reported orally to the Economic and Social Council at its substantive session for 2004 (see E 2004 98).

Interaction between the Security Council and the ad hoc advisory groups of the Economic and Social Council on countries emerging from conflict is a good basis upon which to build.
