In countries that do not have an assigned field security coordination officer, an international staff member, usually the UNDP deputy resident representative, is appointed as the country security focal point.

The Advisory Committee notes that the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary General also acts as UNDP resident representative and is the designated official responsible for the security arrangements concerning the staff of all the United Nations agencies, funds and programmes in Côte d'Ivoire.

UNDP Ukraine is serving as a co organizer of the Ukrainian conference, and the UNDP Resident Representative in Belarus is co chair of the International Organizing Committee for the Belarus conference.
