28G.23 This subprogramme encompasses the Information Technology Service and the Support Services Service.

A total of 18 new posts are proposed for the Office of Mission Support 7 for the Administrative Support Division (5 P 3 and 2 General Service (Other level)) and 11 for the Logistics Support Division (1 P 5, 4 P 4, 5 P 3, 1 General Service (Other level)).

The Service also provides other core electronic support services, including office automation, end user support for software applications, hardware maintenance and configuration and support for the implementation and maintenance of IMIS.

Three additional Finance Officer posts (P 3 level) are proposed for the Finance Management and Support Service.

The Conference commended the activities of COMSTECH and ISESCO for their efforts in the service of the Islamic Ummah and called for their support.

Trade unions have provided leadership to community campaigns in support of quality public service, calling on Governments to provide the financial and regulatory support that is required for their upkeep.

They are non governmental organizations. For example, the women's NGO in Varzob Rayon provided gas service for its rayon with the financial support of NSIFT.

Working closely with donors, UNMIS and UNDP collaborated in providing support to the Commission Preparatory Team for the National Judicial Service Commission.

Under normal conditions, when in service at home, troop commanders receive sufficient legal support.

Furthermore, the International Civil Aviation Organization and international requirements mandate that the Aviation Safety Unit be independent from day to day operations, hence its placement under the Operational Support Service, whereas the Air Transport Section is placed under the Specialist Support Service of the Logistics Support Division.

Renewed efforts to implement the MDGs at the country level and further decentralize support to the regional service centres, offer real opportunities to build joint UNDP United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) regional knowledge hubs' within regional service centres to support country offices and United Nations country teams (UNCTs).

There was, nevertheless, a recognition of the role of the libraries as a useful support service.

It is proposed to increase the number of posts financed through the support account from 41 in the 2004 05 budget (22 Professional and 19 General Service) to 56 for 2005 06 (33 Professional and 23 General Service).

This service provides summary information about organizations and countries providing assistance in the field of sound chemicals management and official procedures to apply for support.

(b) Continued support for building national capacities to fulfil children's rights, with increased emphasis on strengthening policy frameworks, service delivery and protection systems and institutions

This service module continued to provide technical support to UNIDO's beneficiary countries in accordance with the priority services identified in the MTPF for 2004 2007.
