This is what's called a hydrothermal vent.

And this vent fluid is about 600 or 700 degrees F.

And there's a whole new hydrothermal vent community that has been formed.

While that may change, the credit for social peace must go to institutions such as elections ( throwing the rascals out is a non violent way to vent popular anger), responsive democratic legislatures, and effective judiciaries. All of these institutions have successfully mediated political conflict during a time of great adversity in advanced countries.

You might film this unbelievable hydrothermal vent, which you think at the time has to be on another planet.

And this kind of life and death of hydrothermal vent communities is going on every 30 or 40 years all along the ridge.
