Overall, legal provisions do not discriminate against women as regards choice of profession or employment (cf. Article 25 of the Constitution, Article 5 of the Labour Code).

Administrative Framework The administrative framework consists of the office of the Election Commission established under Article 218 of the Constitution.

The Constitution (article 33) states Being the foundation of society, the family shall be under the protection of the State.

The amendment to article 10 of the Constitution was groundbreaking as comparable legislation did not exist in many countries.

The State, in pursuance of Article 38 of the Constitution endeavours to provide health care to all citizens of the country.
